Knysna Education Trust

The Knysna Education trust is a Non Profit Organisation aimed at uplifting the level of education provided to preschool children in the disadvantaged areas of The Garden Route. Amongst their main priorities are -

• Primary Health Care
  - aims to ensure that preschoolers have food in their tummies when at school with a feeding scheme
• Literacy and Training
  -  the Teacher’s Training Program works to ensure the teachers are literate and properly trained for education
• Financial assistance
  - the Trust has an adopt-a-child education program, helping to cover disadvantaged children’s school fees
• Infrastructure improvement
  - the School Buildings Program aims to assist with creating and improving existing facilities
• Sustainability initiatives
  - the Garden program is aimed at equipping schools with their own sustainable vegetable gardens
